Casa Contento by Sea You There Fuerteventura

The apartment was quiet and very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice view over the swimming pool. The internet was fast and there were lots of lovely furnishings so the accommodation felt more homely than most other self catering apartments.

It was further than I expected from the main town. We walked, which was good exercise but as we had no car and the closest supermarket was about a 10-15 min walk carrying heaving items like water was a bit annoying. The swimming pool was too cold to use but that was our fault as we visited in February.

Curtains require washing/replacement. Every time we use the shower, we end up with a flooded bathroom. Only one key available.

Cleanliness, facilities, swimming pool

Apartment location - is 10 minutes walking to the nearest shops possibilities, where you can find everything - supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops. To the center is cca 20-25 minutes to walk, or taking taxi for 5€. When you rent a car, there is outside of the areal place to park or inside is also possible, but you must have a permission for parking from the resident. The nicest beach is walking around 15 minutes. Apartment - you can find there everything what you need (they leave you a towels, hand soap, one roll of toilet paper, sponge and soap for dishes. Balcon has umbrella. Communication with the owner and check-in/check-out lady is very nice and friendly, they are helpful with everything. Apartment is on 1st floor which we prefer to avoid at the night cockroaches on the floor. There are 2 pools, which are cleaned every morning, some sunbeds.

I would recommended to change or make a deep cleaning of mattress because it has brown spots all over, first i was thinking about bed begs, but we didn't find any. Sofa should be clean also, because it has smell. Curtains time to time should be washed or changed because they have holes or spots from ants or spiders. Check-out is at 11 am. We asked to stay little bit longer, because we had an evening flight, but it was not possible because another customers come at 15:00 and cleaning lady must clean an apartment. We stayed around the pool and saw that apartment was cleaned cca in one hour. So 3 hours was no-one there. When we stayed till 13:00, cleaning lady has still time to clean an apartment (2 hours). I understand that chec-out is at 11:00 but should be till 12:00 or so, because apartment is small and cleaning lady doesn't need 3 hours to clean it. Everything is possible if you want :-) But it is a nice place to stay and I would recommended it!
