Cosy Spring Cottage at Pen Y Coed Hall

Great location, lots of great views and walks close by. Has everything you need and was so cosy. Bed was comfortable and loved the breakfast selection. Lots of information given when booked. Would stay again when visiting the area.

Bigger enough for two and a dog. Comfy sofa and bed.

Cold during day and night. Note on heating asking to leave at 18°. Constant drafts on your feet,so they felt cold. The cooker's shelf is broken. Found the living room radiator to be leaking, so had to put a bowl underneath. Cobwebs in places.

Gorgeous little Sping Cottage! Firstly, a few things to mention following reading previous reviews: the skylight in the bedroom is covered, not blackout, but not full daylight. There are bedside tables. The breakfast (which in itself I have not seen previously in any self catering place) was super nice, with bottle of milk and OJ in the fridge, gorgeous bread looked like from a bakery, jams, butter, instant porridge, yoghurt, and yes some prepacked pastries, but this was definitely more than just prepacked pastries!! PLUS fresh illy coffee! Absolutely perfect, plus tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Way better than anything I have seen previously. Apart from the entrance steps x 5 and a couple of steps down to the kitchen, the place is level, great for anyone struggling slightly with mobility. The TV worked perfectly (I normally struggle with tvs.), the sofa super comfortable, the bed super comfortable, the bedding was so soft, it made you happy! The shower was hot. The whole place felt and smelt fresh and clean. The pictures were nice. The walk into Dolgellau was, as mentioned in other reviews 10 mins, down the hill and across the bridge, easy, the walk back up the hill, is not as bad as some of the hills in Barmouth for comparison, yes a little steep but not enough to make you have to continuously stop. The views at the top are lovely. This is a fantastic place to stay! 🙂

Cosy Cottage was warm and inviting. It has everything you need including private parking. I would definitely stay here again.
