Cosy Spring Cottage at Pen Y Coed Hall

Good value for money, with breakfast items provided. Lovely views from front of property.

Maybe more seating in lounge area or a corner seating settee . Shower did not drain very well.

Great location, with stunning views of Dolgellau and Cader Idris from the Hall and gardens. Sited in its own grounds away from public roads but close enough to town for easy access to local amenities. On-site parking space provided. Spring Cottage tucked away at the back so doesn’t get the views but is private and quiet, ideal for a peaceful break for one or two people. Good facilities including kitchen with all mod cons, bathroom suite with shower, and soft, comfy bathrobes. The hot tub is a welcome added luxury.

The area around the cottage could do with tidying up and a bit of garden or at least a few containers/tubs with flowering plants to make it more welcoming. The hot tub is a great added luxury, but there are a few holes in the overhead canopy which are a problem when it rains. Would have liked a bit more hanging space for clothes. Breakfast provided is ok but more variety/choice would be good, e.g. some breakfast buns without chocolate chips, more than one flavour of yoghurt and choice of fruit.

Spring cottage is a great place to stay, I can't fault it, spotless accommodation with everything you need for a quiet holiday. Looking forward to going back.

A little cramped for eating

What a beautiful cottahe, far better than any hotel room, very clean, comfy bed, even dressing gowns and the location was perfect, super friendly hits and very responsive
