Hiltje - Nice to stay

The property was clean and beautiful. We had a wonderful stay. Isabelle was amazing and provided treats and coffee. Only a few blocks to the train station. Stores and restaurants were very close. Many grocery store options, close by. Very quiet street.

The “Dutch Stairs” were steep. The same as most Dutch properties.

Great location, 5 minutes from the station, 2 minutes from the market and the centre of town. Good value for money. Very friendly and communicative host.

The additional cookies, bread, jam, butter, cheese and salami. The living area was very comfy and spacious - including a lovely fireplace. The location was perfect, within walking distance from supermarkets and cafés! We will be back!

Great location, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Host was really thoughtful and left some breakfast goodies- much appreciated.

Fine for us but the stairs are very steep and might be a problem for people with mobility problems or very young children. It added to the adventure for us!

Too dark to read when seated in the sofa; information on correct internet code was striked-through; light in the «coffee/tea corner» not working, light at bathroom mirror went on our last day (didn’t see a replacement); sewage smell from the cupboard in the little room - needs a sifon installed (waterlock)

Spacious apartment (by Dutch standards) very close to the railway station and the Education Museum, which was our destination for the two-day workshop, but also within easy walking distance of the city center. Supermarket around the corner. Unexpectedly quiet. Great value for money, with good quality beds and good bedlinen (no nylon horrors here!). Very clean, food and coffee included and good amenities. Effective heating, which was very nice since it was well under freezing outside. Good communication from the host.

Not so much dislikes as "good-to-know"s: Steep climb for those not used to Dutch stairs. The Double bed is a German-style one, with two mattresses and two single duvets. The second, single bed is a bit smallish perhaps; for me, a 1.90m person it just about worked but I needed every centimeter. Window in small bedroom cannot be opened, so you need to open the balcony door, which isn't ideal in January.
