We really liked the location, and the overall setup was great and everything we needed was provided. The hosts were very helpful, answering all of my questions and making things much easier before our arrival. The instructions for getting to the property were very clear, and the video/photos were especially useful. At first, the initial email made it sound a bit like a Harry Potter quest, but once we arrived, everything made perfect sense! We didn’t experience any issues during our stay, but it was very reassuring to know that they were checking their emails regularly and were always available if needed. Communication throughout was friendly and helpful. They also provided clear checkout instructions, which made the whole process very smooth.

We were a bit unlucky with timing as our stay coincided with the World Cup, when Scotland was playing. Because the location is so central and surrounded by pubs, it did get quite noisy, with fans chanting into the early hours (around 4am). If you’re staying as a couple, the main bedroom was absolutely fine. It’s just the second bedroom, which faces the street, that picks up quite a bit of noise. I had read this in previous reviews and even brought earplugs, but they didn’t help much unfortunately. The windows seem to be traditional sash windows (probably because it’s a listed building), so it’s understandable that there’s not much that can be done about the noise. Just something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper, it’s probably best suited to two people using the main bedroom.

Lage: Die Lage der Unterkunft ist hervorragend. Ausstattung: Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Service: Der Check in verlief reibungslos. Der Anbieter antwortet bei Fragen schnell. Kein persönlicher Kontakt, Kommunikation nur über Booking.com Messenger. Betten: Beide Betten sind ca. 140 x 200. Waren bequem. Handtücher vorhanden.

Barrierefreiheit: Das Treppenhaus ist etwas steil mit Wendeltreppe. Für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung ist die Unterkunft weniger geeignet. Badezimmer: Die Wassertemperatur der Dusche ließ sich nicht regulieren. (Entweder kochend heiß oder eiskalt). Dies wurde zwar nach Meldung repariert, sodass das Wasser auf eine einheitliche Temperatur angepasst wurde, allerdings ist der Wasserdruck extrem schwach. Zum Haare waschen ist der Druck fast zu gering. Küche: Nicht alle Küchengeräte haben (Toaster einseitig defekt, Backofen hat sich während des Backens abgeschaltet)funktioniert. Lärm & Fenster: Am Wochenende sehr laute Lage, da viele Partygäste unterwegs sind. Fenster sind sehr zugig und dichten den Außenlärm nicht ab. Räume: Es sind Motten vorhanden gewesen. Evtl. sollte man hier eine Mottenfalle anbringen.

Location! Location! Location! Perfect spot to truly enjoy Edinburgh. Adorable street. Great restaurants and pubs nearby. Easy access to everything. Cozy living room area. Back bedroom was quiet and the bed was comfy.

The front bedroom is loud. The windows should be double or triple glazed to help with this. Definitely best to bring earplugs and a white noise to combat the late night party crowd. Subpar WiFi.

La ubicación lo mejor. Y la atención con la propiedad también muy bien. El apartamento nuevecito y bien. Se suben 2 pisos x escaleras de caracol.

La ducha tiene el agua templada justa, fría o quemando. No hay más opción. Y hay q estar ágil para entrar a la bañera ya que está altita.

Location was very good. Easy walking distance to the castle with many places to eat and pubs to visit, also close to the royal mile. Views of grassmarket can be seen from the apartment.

Quite a few spiral steps to get up to the apartment so if you are like me with mobility problems you might find it hard, I just managed it with difficulty. Apartment was nice but needs abit of TLC in places plus some items need replacing like the dish drainer. I may sound petty but I wouldn't put anything in it as wasn't clean! Carpets grubby in places and shower screen quite dirty and sealant falling off didn't use the shower even the plug hole was rusty. Think the owners should be checking on the cleaning. Doors with what looks like small blood stains on them? All it needs is wiping down, just looks like it's not being looked after. Sorry to say these things but they do need to be looked at and sorting out. Overall had a good stay.

Spacious and comfortable apartment with a great kitchen, washing machine and beds. Heating worked perfectly during our stay (very cold outside!). We felt very safe in the apartment and we were right in the middle of everything- perfect location.

The shower had very little pressure but was still nice and warm.
