Det var downstairs, det vi er vandt til at kalde kælder, mørkt uden elektrisk lys.

La moquette della camera più grande aveva un terribile odore di umido e muffa che rendeva sgradevole stare nella camera e dormire. La seconda camera aveva un tappeto anche lui maleodorante di umido.

L’appartamento era pulito e accogliente. La posizione ottima per raggiungere a piedi le principali attrazioni della città. I proprietari sono stati molto gentili. Ci hanno accolto il giorno del check in per mostrarci la struttura e il giorno del check out ci hanno permesso di lasciare le valigie in appartamento mentre facevamo un ultimo giro per Edimburgo.

Nothing not to like

The location is ideal – close to the city center, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. The apartment is well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. Late check-in went smoothly as well.

The apartment is in the basement and has large windows. However, it remains quite dark, and you’ll need to keep the curtains closed for privacy from the street. That said, it’s manageable if you’re only staying for a few days.

The apartment matches the photos exactly. The location is excellent, a quiet street in the middle of everything. The furniture is generally old, but the beds are new and very good. The host was very helpful: he immediately offered to check in early if possible, or, at least, to store the suitcases. He checked in personally and left some welcome treats which were very much appreciated. Thank you very much, Richard! The wifi signal is weak, but that wasn't a major problem.

Ideal location, cleanliness, more than enough space for 4 people.

Location is perfect for sightseeing on foot or catching a bus, a train or a tram to other locations. Accommodation is spacious and has all that you might need during your stay. I was worried about kitchen essentials for our 5-day stay but everything was there waiting for us. Richard is a great host! It was very quick and easy to get in touch and organise things with him. Will be coming back for sure!
