Stockbridge Two Bedroom Apartment

Leuk ingericht appartement, schoon, klein maar knus, in een van de gezelligste wijken van Edinburgh Stockbridge. Vlakbij pubs, bussen, de botanische tuin.

De matrassen zijn vrij dun en de doorgezakte bankjes in de woonkamer zijn aan vervanging toe. De entree beneden is ‘shabby’. Voor 900 euro voor drie nachten (!) verwacht ik meer.

The property felt good, like a small home with charm. The location was ideal.

The inability to move comfortably in the bedrooms due to size and furnishings.

Lo acogedor que es. Buena temperatura en el apartamento y bares cerca para desayunar y cenar. Aunque esté a 20 min del centro es un paseo muy agradable .

Location and access to public transport was amazing. Close by to many popular spots and eateries.

For the price the facilities were not a match, there was half drunk coffee in the microwave. A vaping device strewn below the cupboard in bedroom and many things were broken. Washing machine tray, curtain hanger and the latch to bathroom door. One of the bedroom window had so much draft that the window was making a rattle all night due to wind. Had to figure out and fix it myself in the morning.

It was very central and the neighbourhood was very nice.

The bedrooms were a bit small -no place for suitcases fx - but we had a good time there.

The area is fantastic and the hosts were very responsive. Overall the flat had everything you'd need and in terms of the basic needs (internet, heating/hot water, clean linen, clean bathroom and kitchen) it was good! I should menton that even though there is a bar under the house, it's completely quiet and the curtains provide a good blackout to sleep comfortably.

Given that I was travelling with my family and the bill was 1000 euros for 4 nights, I was expecting a bit more attention to detail. The flat is of DESPERATE need for some TLC, and nothing too dramatic or expensive (e.g. doornobs loose, handles missing from windows, hole on wall stuffed with sponges etc), cleanliness also needs some attention (e.g. coffee stains on the wall next to the bed, jam on fridge handle, VERY dirty windows, even filled with messages from previous people who stayed there written with their fingers), though to be fair the bathroom and bedsheets were spotless. Though not directly the fault of the owners, the stairwell of the building is disgusting to say the least - it should be cleaned at some point!
