Excellently laid out in a great location

The location was great.

The shower ‘spluttered’, everything was a little sticky / dirty, some kitchen essentials were missing, and it was noisy from neighbours (a washing machine, the front door, nearby restaurant bottle bin etc).

Excellent location, right in the centre of the old town. Next to bars , restaurants ect The accommodation was excellent, everything you needed to make your stay great. The bed was so comfortable too.. The heating was easy to use so you can change temperatures as required..I would definitely book this apartment again..Highly recommended it..

The first entry gate wasn’t lockable and found someone using the passage as a toilet. That area was dark also when leaving entering building in the evenings. Needed a torch to initially get the key safe open…but not a big problem..occasional noise from restaurant's putting empty glass bottles in the bins in the yard.

Amazing location!! In the heart of old town and everywhere we needed to go was so close. Loved having all the pubs and restaurants around the corner. Good for Harry Potter fans as the apartments are at the bottom of Victoria St. Clean and spacious apartment, instructions were very thorough so we knew how to work everything (without breaking it).

It’s noisy as the restaurant in front of the apartment staff talk loudly and empty bottles into bins late into the night. This is not the fault of the property but FYI for overseas travellers: if you have large bags from the airport or train station, the property is up hills/stairs. We happened to have a first floor apartment once we got up the hill but double check if there is a lift for the apartments on different levels.

The apartment is a very good size and offers all the amenities required when travelling. it is in a great location for visiting The Castle and The Roal Mile.

Unfortunately there are few negatives: 1. The entrance to the Residence is very difficult to find. We had to call the Reservation Team to be given directions as we were driving, as the Navigation system would not recognise the address. 2. There is a restaurant at the front of the Residence which is noisy every night.

The inside of the property was exactly as pictured. It was very cozy, well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable. Also, we felt very safe and the location was very quiet.

The scaffolding outside the property came as a surprise. Whilst unavoidable, I’m sure, it did distract from the beauty of the building. The floor was very cold and a rug in the living room would have been welcome along with bath mats in the bathroom.

We had a pleasant stay in this spacious, well-located flat in Edinburgh, close to many attractions and amenities. The flat itself was comfortable and had everything we needed.

The experience was marred by ongoing building work; scaffolding around the entrance and early-morning noise from the builders was quite an annoyance, though we weren’t often in during the day. Also, the bathroom extractor fan wasn’t very effective.

Central location, bright and airy apartment, comfy bed.

Looking out at scaffolding and bins. Creaky floorboards and squeeky door to bathroom. Being told my daughter could not stay with us although there was a sofa bed in the living area, bedding in the wardrobe and the dining table and kitchen were equipped for 4 people. Bin collections at 6am.

Location and comfort

Instructions regarding shower operation is not consistent in all supporting documentation- the on/off switch outside the bathroom isn’t mentioned in the main property booklet
