The Royal Mile Residence by Reserve Apartments

Very central location. Kitchen was well equipped, and washing machine was very helpful. Windows are double glazed, so noise from outside was minimal

This is an older apartment, could do with a spruce up - after being out for a day it had an damp/musty smell when getting back. You need to walk up 4 flights of stairs to access, so not ideal if unable to or have big heavy bags. We had a queen bed and a single bed for 4 people, one needed to sleep on the sofa.

I love the proximity to everything, the train station, shops and the tour bus stops. The property, there was a crack on the window in the lounge, i thought it wasn’t safe to open the windows because they’re too large if in case a strong wind blows. But I really love the communication from the house manager. The instruction was very clear with photos included and easy to follow. We didn’t have any problems checking in and out of the property.

I wish I was informed about the crack on thw window, and I hope there will be a lift in the coming years? But all in all. We did enjoy our stay.

Location, but not the stairway access

Place is run-down. It would not qualify for Airbnb minimum standards, and should not be listed with Booking.com as a workaround. Plumbing infrastructure is a real problem. The shower recess overflows from wastewater in rooms above. This is unsatisfactory, as well as a health risk. It once woke us in the middle of the night, dislodging the plug which I had to hold in place to prevent overflow.

Very nice apartment, comfortable, clean and had everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent and is central to all of the city. The host is very friendly and easy to contact if you need anything.

The location was superb, right in the center of the Royal Mile. Everything was easily walkable. The property was authentic old-edinburgh with its gorgeous wooden floors, close-entry, and adapted bathroom accommodations. The laundry facilities helped us keep our luggage to carry-ons only, which was hugely helpful. We absolutely loved this apartment and would not hesitate to stay again.
