Great host, showed us the property then was there for any questions. Not intrusive in any way. Super close to the strand. A perfect weekend getaway. We came for Dickens on the Stand.

Loved location and style of the house. Felt extremely homely and was close to UTMB campus. Also very very roomy, had a living room and a bedroom and a bathroom with a lovely shower

It’s not an apartment but the upstairs of a house. The owner lives on the ground floor so there’s a lack of privacy. This wasn’t clear in the property description.

This property is disgusting. We could smell dust and mold the moment we walked into the hallway. We didn't even take our bags upstairs. I used the excuse that I wanted to rest for a few minutes first, but I knew immediately that I would never stay here. While the sloppy owner showed my friend around the apt, I was already on Google looking for another place to stay. No way was I sleeping on that bedding when the bathroom rug had long black hairs embedded, and the place SMELLED dirty. We paid $350 for another place since it was last minute, and an Uber was needed to get to the new property after paying for one to get here. Once we were settled in a hotel, I messaged the owner and told him we left and why. He never responded. He also never responded to Booking.com when they reached out to him, and because he didn't answer them, they refused to refund me. So, I paid $170 for NOTHING. The pictures are deceiving, and you can't SMELL dirt and mold in pictures and you can't see hairs on the rugs. The people who gave great reviews (which is the reason I booked here) either have extremely low standards, or they are FAKE reviews. We came to Galveston to have a fun day a day early before our cruise, which was the opposite because of this. The property owner should be ashamed of himself! I won't be using Booking.com again after ten years of many bookings with zero issues. Their policy on this is disappointing.

The home was spacious, cozy, comforting, and very peaceful. We both enjoyed the outside shower, was very relaxing, with all the plants and greenery around.
