Sleeping with bees - Tourist farm Muha

Všetko bolo dokonalé. Andrej bol skvelý a veľmi srdečný hostiteľ. Ako prevádzkovatelia podobného typu ubytovania na Slovensku sme chceli vedieť, ako to robí niekto v Slovinsku. Toto miesto nás veľmi očarilo a inšpirovalo a kvalita všetkých služieb bola excelentná. Andrej sa nám venoval viac, než musel, a veľmi si to vážime.

Andrej was a great host. Seeing his bee house on the tour was great too.

The host was extremely friendly and very informative about his bee keeping. My husband also keeps bees, so he had many many questions! Andrej built the house himself, the accommodations could not have been nicer. We slept so well, between the quiet buzzing of the bees and the aroma of the hives, it was extremely relaxing!

This was our first time staying in a bee house – a place where your bed is directly over beehives and built in a way that even upon just opening the door you are wrapped tightly in the smell of honey and beeswax. The humming-buzzing of the bees make for a uniquely relaxing experience as you fall into what is likely one of the best nights of sleep you could enjoy. Andrej is not only one of the warmest hosts but also one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to apitherapy and Slovenian beekeeping tradition. This was the best way we could kickstart our first time visiting this nature-blessed country, and it guaranteed that this wouldn't be our last.

The property was beautiful and full of nature. The bee lodge was very comfortable, smelled wonderful, and the sound of buzzing bees was absolutely wonderful to fall asleep to.

I really enjoyed some of the most peaceful rest I've had for as long as I can remember. But the incredible hospitality of Andrei was beyond anything I could have expected or hoped for. There was something magical about our stay here which we will remember forever. We loved sleeping with the bees and will be coming back.

The only thing we didn't like was leaving. Oh and parking in Ljubljana if you're visiting is a little tough. But we were there to enjoy nature and "sleep with the bees" so the inconveniences of the two city adventures we took weren't a big deal.

Andrej met us when we got there and promptly showed us the bee house. He also gave us a nice tour of his apiary. He was a gracious host and allowed us the use the kitchenette in the garage of the main house to make our dinner. Their dog Rachel is super sweet and kept us company. Sleeping in the bee house was amazing! The hum and the smell make you want to drift off to sleep. It was beautifully kept and well appointed. My wife got a honey massage while we were there, and it was obvious he takes great care in doing a good job. Couldn't have hoped for a nicer experience!

There wasn't anything I didn't like.
