Lake view and decoration of room were amazing. You feel yourself as a part of the nature.

I am writing to formally request compensation for a failed reservation that caused significant inconvenience and additional expenses. Below are the details of the incident:       •     Booking Reference Number: 4839977757       •     Property Name: Seeapartment am Hallstätter See       •     Reservation Dates: Monday 30 December to Tuesday 31 December Upon arrival at the property, we were informed that there was no booking under our name, despite having paid in full. This led to my wife and me waiting outside for nearly three hours in cold weather, resulting in both of us contracting the flu. My wife was emotionally distressed, especially since she had arranged this trip to celebrate my birthday on New Year’s Eve. Due to the failed reservation, we had to secure alternative accommodation at an additional cost of €275. We have attached all relevant documents, including the original booking confirmation, payment receipts, and the invoice for the new accommodation. Given the circumstances, we kindly request compensation for the following:       1.    Refund of the original booking amount: 231€       2.    Reimbursement for the additional accommodation expenses: €275       3.    Compensation for the inconvenience and health issues caused: 500€ because you can’t put a price on health. We have attempted to resolve this issue by contacting your customer service via phone and other channels but have not received a satisfactory response. Therefore, we are also reaching out to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) to file a formal complaint, where the headquarters of your respectable company is located. Host was not answering messages or phone as were looking for the apartment for over 2 hours

Apartment was spacious. well-lit, and had great aesthetics.

Instructions given to how to find the passageway down to the property was confusing. Moreover, the Booking.com map view location vs the listing address was different... resulting in confusion. But the listing address was the accurate one.
