Seehaus 96 Hallstatt

The location is undeniably why mist people will book this place. But the only way to get there is by a paid shuttle buss from a parking across the city. And even then it only gets you so far you still need to drag any suit cases up a decent hill and narrow alleys so if your coming with any big luggage its gona be a real challenge to get to the place. And the actual appartment is sort of hidden the signs dont get you there all the way. So good luck finding it 🙂

- The main thing has to be lack of hot watter. I saw some people mention it in the reviews but I couldn't belive that could be the case for a property or this rating and price. But well and behold there was not hot water in either sink or shower. In end of December too. - there is zero response from the owners so don't even bother messaging them. To this day weeks after stay I recived no responses, even booking.com agent couldn't contact them during my stay. - there is another appartmrnt abive you and you'll be sure to hear eveything they do. So that's cool. - the private garden area you see on the pictures Are not exactly that private, and during my stay plenty of people came down to do it to smoke cigarettes and feed swans. There is no gate or signs saying you can't. Either so enjoy the random strangers saying hi to your window. - and possibly my favourite part. There is no heating at all. Which especially is December is lovely I mean you might as well go sleep outside there is no difference 🙂 Overall this is a highly overrated highly over priced property just relying on the shock value of where it is. Nothing else.

The location was out of this world!! Literally 3 steps to the edge of the lake with the most amazing view and swans swam right up! It’s also very close to the IG Photo Op!! Just a short walk to the town center as well! The apartment was beautiful, clean & comfortable with great water pressure in the shower. Interesting, but clear glass on shower so you can see the lake through the window while you shower! We were able to store our luggage on the porch after we checked out, which was out of sight from anyone walking by the road above. Follow the check-in directions carefully to find the apartment and get the key to access. We had no problems! Don’t hesitate to book, so glad we did!!

They didn’t provide soap or bathing supplies. This was stated on their email, but it would have been helpful to have as we had to stop and buy them.

No microwave No washing machine no dishwasher no toiletries Awesome little garden but not maintained

Beautifully designed apartment directly on the water. It was very clean and had everything you need. loved how the shower was designed.
