Prime Host Sophie Deluxe Apartment

The central location was fabulous!.. Everything close by or a very short walk. And despite being directly on the courtyard (Appt no9 on the left) the cars parking and the junior school next door did not affect the blissful quiet and birdsong!. The Appt was roomy and very clean, with everything you need in the kitchenette, loads of storage and a large comfy roomy bed with extra pillow and duvet and complimentary dressing gowns were a great touch. Especially useful as we needed them for extra warmth.. Plz read on for why..

Unfortunately, as the Apt. was on the ground floor, this made it rather damp and the week we stayed, the spring weather was really wet and freezing cold. Not a problem except The heating did not work fully and the radiator in the bathroom, although plugged in was not working. We tried to contact the owner/contact but they did not respond. This meant the bathroom was very cold and towels stayed damp all week. We left bathroom extractor fan running to ensure air got through and it was less damp. The shower was an adventure in itself.!! . With weak water flow, it was either scalding hot or freezing cold and took a few days to learn how to position the tap just right to get a consistent flow of reasonably hot water. However it was a very nice walk in shower. When we arrived the sofa bed showed bleach marks and the curtains too (see image).. But at least that shows it was clean!! Finally the outside light and internal porch lights were not connected (bare wires out of the wall) this meant coming back at night was pitch black and we had to use phone torches to access the key box and then find the keyhole to our apt door.. Not great when it's pouring with freezing rain! Overall I would say that it's a great place for a short day or two stay but given the issues we had, if not mended... not great for longer.

The apartment is spacious. Its location is great. A free parking space was important for us. We have not seen the hosts at all, their welcome message contained all important information.

We had only minor issues. The water pressure in the shower was weak, it was not easy to wash long hair. The lock on the key box near the entrance was very hard to open, even though the code was right. The sofa in the living room was not comfortable to sleep on, as it was not flat and its middle part was very hard.

The apartment was pretty big and it had all that we needed. The Bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. It had a pretty large TV. For a couple, is more than enough.

We had a bit of a problem with the heat. When we went for a walk I turned off the heat, but that was the mistake. That is because the heating machine is old and when you turn it off, you can't turn it back on.

Amazing apartment, everything what you need to stay and even more. It is new and super clean. Great kitchen with coffee, thee inside. The key were left in de box with the code. Free parking also great!

The sleeping couch is very fancy but uncomfortable to sleep.

The room was clean and light. The setup was spacious.

We did not have warm water in the shower, also the shower did not drain well and it was therefore difficult to shower comfortable.

Sleeping arrangements for up to 2 people is perfect!

Third person(pull out couch) sleeping setup hadn't been cleaned in a while, so the three of us squished together in one bed. It worked out ok!
