The person who greeted me on arrival was great. Friendly and helpful

The entire entry including stairs and ceiling is under constuction. To enter and exit the proprty requires going through an activie construction site. Existing the property on the second day I walked out into a grey cloud of concrete dust. The intenal strucutre was held up with scafolding. Workers were in the building using jack hamers etc. The stairs were blocked off and the only entry is via a very dubious lift. My issue is that this construction was not listed on the booking.com listing of the property. On the morning of the second day, inresponse to my email from the host acknowledged the issue and offered me an alternate property, which in the photos looked horrible and was in a location that I did not want to stay in. As they offered me this alterantive (like buying a pear and told you have to take an onion) they refused a refund. I was packed and ready to go on thhe first morning and had paid for 7 nights. Booking.com did not reply to mesages. Each time I call booking.com I am greeted by AI which is uselass, then put on hold and either dissconnected or told that they will get back to me. Each person I spoke to at booking.com said the property should have disclosed the construction. The property host said it was not their fault that the consutruction was happening so I do not get a refund as the construction was scheduled for November last year :( That makes no sense. Because the host property did not respond to booking.com claim that I am not entitled to a refund. This issue has gone on for 7 days. With a great deal of time and money wasted at my end. Every phone call I get put on hold and I am paying international roaming. The chat requests and messages sent to booking.com either are ignored or an ilogical response it sent to me. DO NOT book this property or any other with booking.com

Much bigger than expecting. Wendy was an amazing help and fully explained everything. Air conditioning was working great during the heat wave. Easy to work with.

Loved meeting Wendy, she took us through the property and gave us some tips on where to eat and made sure we had the things we needed. The location was perfect for what we needed as well, so handy to everything.

By fixing the areas we pointed out to Wendy, we think would raise the bar on this accommodation and give it a little more love it needs.
