The Blakeney

Very central for shopping, eating, and sightseeing.

Picking up the keys and dropping off was a bind. Hard to find the property as it is called York Place, not The Blakeney. I tried the key in the door of York Place in desperation to find it fitted and must be the right place.

The property is located close to the railway station. It had an elevator. The beds were somewhat comfortable. The apartment was fairly clean. good sized bathroom. Quiet at night.

1. The building was down a lane in a sketchy area. Looked like drug dealers hanging out on the corners. 2. The common areas in the building were shabby and dirty, the elevator reeked of urine. 3. The living room couch needs to be steam cleaned, it is filthy. 4. The table and chairs are cheap and rickety. I could not sit in the chairs for fear of collapse. 5. Pots and pans are old and not fit for use. they should be replaced. 6. The window blind in the living room is broken, I could not close it. 7. The bedroom is extremely small. I could barely get around the bed. 8. There is no closet space, Only one small dresser in the bedroom for your items.

It was very central and clean with all the facilities needed and as advertised. Easy to connect to the WiFi along with using Netflix and YouTube on the TV. As it was the hottest week of the year I was very grateful for the fan in the apartment

The end board on the bed meant I had a couple of bad nights sleep since I couldn’t stretch out and the sofa was a little small. Although the building had scaffolding there wasn’t really much disruption from the workers. I couldn’t manage to pull the blinds down fully in the living area which wasn’t much of an issue for me but in those circumstances that could be a problem for others.

No one came for cleaning in between my stay eventhough it was offered
