Elegance apartment Taormina

The place is really have a fantastic viewing front of an apartment. Also the owner is nice and helpful

If you don't have a car be ready to walk... go to the mountain... Near is hotel with elevator, but staff is rude enough to stop people from using the elevator

Attention, even if the host tries to portray our review as incorrect. We stayed in the accommodation from 26-29 May´24. The behaviour of the host was reported to booking.com.

At first, the apartment was very difficult to find. We arrived a little later in the evening than planned because we had a long journey. There was only a small paper sign that we couldn't see because it was too dark. The host would have shown it to us if we had come as planned. The apartment is in an old, unkempt apartment complex. The surrounding apartments are either unoccupied or run down. Luckily we had a vehicle as the apartment is high up on the slope. As other guests have already written. The apartment itself was OK but unfortunately a bit shabby. It was very damp and therefore smelled moldy. The kitchen was very worn and unkempt. The dishes were dirty and some had leftover food on them. About the host: We had a bad feeling beforehand because the host asked us via WhatsApp to cancel the booking and transfer the money directly to him (with a small discount). Than he deleted the message as well his caption. He probably wanted to save the booking.com fee. Furthermore, it does not speak well for the host if he tries to justify his guests' not-so-unrealistic reviews by attacking them. His guest-unfriendly personality has unfortunately been confirmed. He asked about our arrival 4 days before we were due to arrive. We were only able to respond later that day, but had already received annoyed emojis from him. Oh yes, we separated the rubbish during our stay in the bins provided (as shown in the Booking photos). We were supposed to put everything in a rubbish bag at the end, but we didn't do that. In the end, we didn't write a review. But now, two months later, we've come into contact again due to our mistake writing in the wrong chat. In the end he even insulted us. Now I'm curious to see what he throws at us and how he tries to justify himself.

Keys left in a safe place for flexible check-in, very communicative host. All facilities we needed were in the apartment, very pleasant garden, only a short drive to the town and beach.

There was an event at the hotel during our stay we were not made aware of. All of the private parking was taken by hotel visitors, so there was nowhere to park on one night. A reserved space would have been useful.

Wonderful apartment with a very friendly host. The apartment is clean and in a calm neighbourhood. It's only a short walk to Letojanni which is a beautiful small town on the seaside. We loved our stay here and will definitely be looking to visit again.
