Duke Street - Liverpool city centre apartment

Really good location, clean apartment, there is a comfortable bed, mirror for makeup, cozy sitting room, kitchen and secured parking in the basement. Lots of nice restaurants around, especially Sapporo and Man Tsuen Ho's.

I booked my stay nearly 2 months before the journey, non refundable price, which worked for me as it was a business trip and dates were fixed. One day before my trip, I received a message from the host asking me to send them a copy of my ID and only after that they will send me check in and key collection information. I expressed my conserns about sending personal information via internet and offered to show it in person before checking in. But Julie (representative of Duke Street) rang me and said she is not providing me accommodation unless I send her ID now or pay £200 deposit on the top of the apartment's price. (Note: in the accommodation rules there is nothing about providing ID upfront and paying extra money.) From the very beginning of our conversation she accused me of being potentional scamer because she find out in my profile that my nationality is Russian and there was a men's name in my booking (I added my husband's name as a guest traveling with me) and that made her think that my account is suspicious. My conserns about sending personal information via internet were ignored. And option to meet in person was rejected too. I had to send her via WhatsApp my husband's ID as he was traveling with me and he is of British nationality. I didn't make a big fuss about it for two reasons: - it was a day before my trip and I didn't have enough time to find another place to stay; - the price for accommodation was non refundable. I think that treating people as criminals before their trip even started especially based on their nationality is unexeptable and frankly disgusting. I feel humiliated and my expectations about my trip to Liverpool were ruined before the trip even started. (Note: as a result trip went well and flat was nice, but I always had this bitter taste whilst my stay in this place). Also picking up/ returning key point is a bit too far.

great location, comfortable city flat and safe secure parking.Over an excellent restaurant, Indian Tiffin Room,(and judging from number of full tables others must have been good too)

Picking up keys from Lime Street Station a little complicated, but made up for by being able to park free and securely throughout stay. If we'd arrived by train however would have been perfect

Clean and cosy , think we preferred the other apartment that the owner owns only for the layout, but we would still definitely go back and stay at any of the apartments . We wouldn’t stay anywhere else now and recommend to our friends . The owner John is so good to deal with , always replies and always accommodating. Brilliant location , short walk to concert square and Liverpool 1 , 15 minutes to Matthew street and lime street . There’s a street food restaurant a few doors along that’s amazing xx

the location and the parking. the apartment itself was lovely. it was quiet and very comfortable.

I didn't realise key collection and return was at a completely different location until i received the email. It would have been useful to have a microwave - there was space for it!

Everything was clean and tidy, essentials you may forget were there.

The location is hard to find but when found is great
