Readyset Apartments at Midtown

Everything was close by trams, buses, trains, shopping centres, food and the convenience of the location.

The pillows on the couch did smell a bit.

Check out was on the time even we arrived earlier an hour they told us should wait, then we came back again at 2:50 they told us should come back again after 10 minutes to take a key

Good location! And good size for the price

Few pieces of information were wrong causes our check in to delay

Location was the only good thing.

On arrival I found the toilet was broken (the toilet seat wasn’t attached to the toilet and was very loose when you sat on it). When they asked me to take a picture I lifted the lid and the whole toilet seat slid off onto the floor and broke further. This was within 30mins of arriving. I contacted them immediately, they accused me of breaking it and then didn’t fix it for the entire 3 day stay, despite promising to. Key pick up was 3pm but we weren’t given the keys until 3:30pm (crap waiting in a small office with kids and luggage). Despite me informing in advance that we were using the sofa bed, the doona and cover were clearly not clean. They dropped off spare sheets when I told them, but they weren’t the right sheets for that bed. The listing said there was a pool. On arrival we could not find it. We called readyset appartments and they gave us the wrong instructions to find them. I had to call again and they texted through very unhelpful instructions. It took us a good 45minutes to find. Turned out we had to go up to level 6, leave the building, cross to another building substantially away (not even the next closest skyscraper/apartment) then go down to level 2 of that apartment. It was quite a trek with kids. There were no instructions in any of the online material, or the material in the apartment. The place was dirty. I actually cleaned filth and dust that was clearly old, off the kitchen bench when I did a clean. On arrival, with all these issues I felt extremely stressed, not relaxed, not comfortable and cared for as I would expect. I NEVER complain about accommodation, as I’m very easy going. But this was appalling. Cost me more than $600 for two nights, plus they took a $300 security deposit which they don’t look like they’re going to return.

Not clean and walls are very thin.

We definitely loved its location. The apartment met our needs etc.

We did not enjoy the scrutiny that we had to go through once we had paid for the apartment. We had to go above & beyond by having to provide drivers license or passport photo id of all occupants, days before arriving in Melbourne. When we picked up the keys, l was the only one that had to show my id. With identity theft running at high levels, we were not impressed. We will never stay or commit to staying in a Readyset apartment again.

Unfortunately this property was disgusting. There was someone else’s hair embedded into the carpets, kitchen oven, benches and backsplashes covered in some kind of grime. When pulling out the fold out bed to make it, there was blankets and sheets were sitting on dirt and disgusting hair. The bathroom was dirty and grime everywhere. We did not stay and have requested our money back.

Location was great

Location convenient to sights, eateries and transport.
