Kosbor Vendégház

The apartment is in an old wine cave which has been beautifully refurbished in the last couple of years. The interior was spotlessly clean and equipped with modern facilities. The location was close to the southern shore of Lake Balaton and visiting places around the lake was straightforward. The property is completely off the road, up its own short track. There is another apartment upstairs from the one in which we stayed. The guests in there were very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. Ferenc was an excellent host, very responsive on WhatsApp. We were also given a bottle of wine and a couple of bottles of water on arrival, as well as fruit and some chocolates.

The tap water was from a well and, although filtered and tested, did have a rather odd taste. We ended up buying bottled water for our stay, but that's maybe just our northern European tastes! The wifi was very slow. The check-out procedure, paying via an app, was a bit convoluted but it worked in the end.
