Convenient location with good parking.

Nice modern and clean little apartment in a very large complex. It has all the usual cooking and laundry conveniences and is walking to Victoria Gardens shopping mall as well as the tram stop for easy access to the city or Little Vietnam restaurants. Parking is secure. Lovely walking trail along the river accessed from the complex.

The key pickup was a lock box that was a bit convoluted to get access to but it all worked OK. Location wise it is not within close walking distance to any proper restaurants (about 20 to 25 minutes). Overall a good choice though.

A great property, located in a quiet residential complex next to the Yarra river. Trams 12 and 109 right on the doorstep that take you into the city centre in about 15- 20 minutes. The apartment came really well equipped with everything you need to self-cater if you're that way inclined. We even found things like salt, pepper and other basic consumables that so often you don't find in rental apartments. The hosts (Marc and MJ) were very responsive to our pre-arrival communications and always quick to respond when we had any questions.

To be honest, I couldn't fault the property. It was perhaps a little bit more expensive than I had expected but I think prices in general were higher during our stay due to the demand for accommodation created by Taylor Swift playing in Melbourne for three nights during our stay.

Instead, it was one of our worst accommodation experiences in terms of false advertising, lacklustre service and poor accountability. That will teach us to book accommodation that is managed privately with so few reviews. In the end, we could not stay even just 1 of the 4 nights and had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere. So where did it all start to go wrong? Firstly, the instructions to collect the apartment key was weird. We had to follow a list of instructions that felt like a treasure hunt for 15 minutes. In the end the key was in a hidden box behind a thorn bush. When we finally arrived at the front door to the apartment, we were blown away for all the wrong reasons: 1) The apartment did not look the same as in the photos advertised. It was clearly lived in during covid and had dropped to a poor standard. The walls and carpets had scuff marks all over them and furniture was different. 2) The apartment was confirmed as “cleaned” beforehand by the owners but when we arrived it was filthy. We shared over 20 photos of different issues with the owners. The oven needed scrubbing for hours, there was dust on most surfaces, nail clippings on the floor, crumbs on the couch, scattered hairs on the table, leaked bags of salt on the floor, and mould all around the shower. It was so bad that we felt helpless. As soon as we reported the issues to the owner and said we just wanted to leave and get our money back, we soon realised their resistance. Firstly, they wanted us to leave for a free local meal so their “cleaner” could return to finish what they had apparently started. I was amazed that the owners thought the situation was still redeemable by thinking their cleaner could fix all the issues including painting the walls, scrubbing the oven & bathroom grime, and clean it to a basic standard.

Great location. Trams on the doorstep. Very comfortable bed. Everything you need is in the apartment. Shopping mall within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.

The check in is a little bit like a treasure hunt, delving in plants to find the lockbox. The key code didn’t work the first time, nor did the contact phone number. However, as soon as I sent an email, the host replied with the correct code. This is the only minor problem we encountered.
