The location is great in terms of being close by to a wide variety of food, conveniences like supermarkets and easy access to activities/sights. We had a car and it was great that we were able to reserve free parking for the entirety of our stay via request from the host (parking was in the street behind, easily accessible and secure) . While the room is cosy it has everything you might need for a quick weekend stay.

Understandably because of the location of the apartment being in the heart of the bar/restaurant district of Melbourne it means that the noise on weekend evenings is loud up until midnight/1am. Because of the layout of the apartment windows the noise from the street and bars (including loud music, people yelling/screaming) carries right up and its near impossible to block out. If you go to bed before midnight on a Friday/Saturday night do not book this accommodation! But I managed to have a comfortable sleep regardless but family members in other rooms did have difficulty.
