Our stay with Salmien and Franco was truly exceptional. Their cottage was spotless, meticulously appointed, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. What made the experience unforgettable, however, was their incredible warmth and hospitality. They went above and beyond to share their cottage, their home, their culture, and their food with us, even inviting us to our very first South African braai, a lovely evening spent in the company of the amazing hosts, their family, and their wonderful friends. Beyond providing excellent accommodations, they welcomed us like old friends, teaching us about their land and culture and offering thoughtful travel tips for exploring South Africa. The property itself is a peaceful haven surrounded by nature, but it was the genuine hospitality of Salmien and Franco that made this one of the most memorable experiences of our global journey. The accommodation is in the nicest part of town, at the end of a quiet street in a quiet area with lots of green everywhere and it feels very safe. Salmien and her family are wonderful hosts, warm, friendly and very welcoming. The house had literally everything you could think of for a self-catered stay and the nicely vegetated rock formations right behind the cottage added some really cool jungle vibes.
