Very nice and clean in the appartment, not outside

Firstly, the apartment space is impressive, plenty of room to move around, even in the main bedroom with its two beds (of which the one we used was very comfortable) . It is a good living space for a permanent residence, let alone a short-term rental. There is plenty of ‘white goods’ equipment, with oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer (even if the tumble dryer is rather incongruous in the middle of the lounge area 😊)

Apart from a very large sofa and, in the main bedroom, (half a) wardrobe plus just a single bedside table to service possibly 4 people, that pretty well completes the inventory of furniture, making the overall effect rather clinical and unwelcoming. Our main problem, however, was in the lack of ability to prepare food in the ‘fully equipped’ kitchen: - There is a hob, and some saucepans, but nothing with which to stir whatever is in a saucepan. - There is no colander to strain the contents of a saucepan. - There are 4 each of table knives, forks and dessert spoons but no teaspoons - There is a toaster, but no breadboard or bread knife - There are a couple of cooking knives but no chopping/cutting boards (your worktop may not last long!) - There is a microwave but no bowls or other vessels to use in it - The apartment has beds for up to 6 people but there are only 3 wine glasses! I have mentioned these shortcomings to the owner who has replied that they will be rectified and, hopefully, the next guest won't have the same problems :-) Outside the flat, whilst the description of the apartment on Booking.com states clearly that the apartment is on the top floor, it is not mentioned that the stairs to it are very steep, very narrow and have tight returns. As the automatic lights in the stairwell do not come on until one is halfway down the stairs this can be... interesting.

A bit of confusion over getting entry codes and no AC in the top flat on the hottest week of the year (obviously couldn't have planned that) but overall a really comfortable stay.
