Crab Cove

The view, the sound of the sea, the hosts, the breakfast, and the sauna! We were pleasantly surprised and loved every minute of it.

The highlights of the apartement are the amazing view, the private sauna and a private beach. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the kitchen has everything you need.

Stunning view, secluded location, accommodation was very comfortable with lots of extras available (eg kayaks, private beach access, snorkels, dressing gowns, slippers, sauna...), breakfast was top quality, more than enough and freshly delivered each morning.

Wonderful breakfast left at the door in a weather proof container to enable you to enjoy it in your own time and with the exquisite view. Fabulous sauna within the bathroom area which enables you to feel warm and relaxed. For those who wish to swim there is a walk with ladder steps to a beach below where you can enter the water with lifejackets on and kayak (weather/conditions dependent) For those with variance of mobility challenges the nearby Mahinepua Beach is divine, accessible by car, for those who enjoy walking and hiking the Peninsula and Mahinepua Beach can be reached on foot from the property. Comfortable bed. This is suitable for two people who are comfortable sharing a very comfy bed. Small and effective BBQ to cook crayfish, steak, butterflied chicken etc on.

We rarely spend time anywhere twice as we like to explore new places however in our view there is nothing we don't like hence why we have booked three trips within a twelve month period. Handy tip: Ensure you bring food supplies from Kerikeri in a chilly bin or at Four Square in Kaeo which has supplies. The Kaeo Indian, 'Spice Grill' has quality Indian meals (and fish and chips for those who who not like Indian) to take away or eat in. Note whilst they do not deliver they cook the menu brilliantly for this Northland region.

Crab cove is definitely the best place we stayed in during our holiday in New Zealand. The view, the beach and use of the kayaks, and all the furniture is exceptional luxurious. Nothing it was exceptional

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The views are amazing and such peace and tranquillity to wake up to the sound of the ocean every morning. Breakfast provided greatly exceeded my expectations, and every morning was something different, not to mention amazingly delicious. The studio room has everything you need for short or long stays and the beach is a short walk. The extra large shower and sauna just top it off a little more. Victoria and Dave make wonderful hosts and accommodate all of your needs including providing plenty of things to see and do close by. I loved my stay and recommend anyone staying in the Northern Islands to visit Crab Cove for a relaxing and special getaway. Thank you Victoria and Dave. We will definitely be back for a visit.
