Pleasant City Stay on Collins

Thanks to our Hostess Maria who made us feel at home. Very quiet place with a lovely private balcony.

The Location was central and close to transport and cafes.

I travelled for business and expected to receive a proper tax invoice, but I only received a standard receipt. This document indicated the amount I paid but did not meet the tax invoice requirements set by the ATO. I informed the host that I needed a compliant tax invoice, but she insisted she could only provide the receipt. I then reached out to Booking.com, explained the situation, and requested they obtain the tax invoice on my behalf. It took a long time, and when they finally responded, the host simply repeated the same information to them. Booking.com should also address these issues more effectively when they are raised. I simply need a tax invoice, and I cannot get one. If a property owner has been hosting across various platforms for many years, this is clearly a business. They should, at the very least, have an ABN (Australian Business Number) because they are running a commercial enterprise. They use a Square account for processing payments, and I am certain registration for that requires an ABN because I have one. It strongly suggests they are deliberately avoiding issuing a tax invoice for some reason. I believe the host should be transparent and clearly indicate on their profile that this accommodation does not provide tax invoices. Travelers booking for business purposes need to know this upfront so they can avoid booking this property.

We had a perfect stay in this ideally and centrally located flat. We were met by Ivo and given a complete orientation. While the entrance to the building is on a busy street, the eighth floor flat and it's lovely balcony face the laneway and is far from the street. The whole place was spotless, the kitchen is well-equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the washing machine much appreciated. We arrived at dinnertime and enjoyed eating at the little Italian place on the ground floor and facing the laneway. All in all, a perfect spot for exploring Melbourne.

Amazing location, great value for money. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and the host was so friendly and accommodating. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and we felt right at home.

Location is awesome- central CBD. Bed was comfortable. We were met by Owner, on arrival: who showed us around the apartment. Very clean, with a gorgeous chic, french-style balcony. Full kitchen if needed. Wonderful.

1 Bathroom- but not really an issue. 2nd bedroom small- but we weren't actually in the apartment much- so wasn't a worry.
