Apartment Rose

Good shower.The owner offered us jam and fruit on arrival.The night before we left we were offered homemade cake which was lovely.

The bed was awful.Four nights without good sleep.The bed topper was uncomfortable to lie on and though it was a double bed it was incredibly difficult to move without the topper moving with you.The room is overcrowded with an additional single bed which was not required for our stay. Round table crammed into corner beside kitchen area. The apartment is a good ten minutes walk up an extremely high hill,it was ok for us as we are ok with hill walking but just highlighted this if other guests arrive in Portoroz without a car to get them up the hill!! In addition we queried the tourist tax which we were advised was €2.50 per night so for two people should be a total of €20...we were charged €35 and asked why?? We did not understand the owner's reply as she didn't speak English and we do not speak Slovenian.Transpires the previous guests August 2025 also commented/complained about being overcharged.We have highlighted this issue with Booking.com Customer Service and are waiting a reply as I post this.Not good if guests are being charged for no reason and feel other potential guests should be made aware of our concerns.

la gentilezza della signora Rosa che ci ha accolto con un piatto di fichi, una torta salata squisita e un vasetto di marmellata fatta da lei molto molto buona.

per raggiungere il centro bisogna camminare un pò, c'è una salita da fare.
