"Great location, spotless apartment, an awesome launchpad for Melbourne's events."

The best thing about this apartment is its location. Right in the heart of Melbourne and the city’s main attractions are all in walking distance. On arrival, through text messages, the key pickup was coordinated and we were shown how to get into the apartment - which is a little complicated if you were to describe it. Located on the first floor above a bakery / cafe, access is through stairs or a lift. There are two large bedrooms and a smaller bedroom coming off a long corridor with a reasonable open kitchen and living space hosting a large flat screen TV opposite the windows facing out onto the street. Kitchen has a full size fridge, dishwasher and cooking facilities. Only one window is able to be opened - but to do so brings in the street noise. A portable air conditioner is provided but we didn’t use it. Bathrooms are spotless and large. Wifi is available by limited. All in all if you are wanting to see an event in Melbourne then this place is ideal.

The wifi access point is a SIM card base access point which had reasonable download speeds but woeful upload speeds. This meant that video conference calls were impossible to make. In the end we had to revert to tethering. In case you were wondering like us, the hot water in the shower takes about 3 minutes to come through. The bed in the main bedroom has slats that came out of their groove, even by just sitting on the side of the bed. So a side of the mattress ended up on a lean - we assumed it was broken but with some heavy lifting it can be fixed. As of this date the building opposite is being completely destroyed and rebuilt. The noise of this starts at 8am and finishes in the late afternoon - even on Saturday. This is ok if you are using the apartment as a launch pad but for those trying to work within its confines it made concentration difficult and impossible to sleep in.

Clean and very comfortable.

Group of 3 friends but we were only offered/given one key and one lobby pass.. Didn't realize at the time that this would make for a very frustrating stay! Had to then work the whole stay round coordinating all 3 of us to arrive and leave apartment at same time. ABSOLUTELY Impossible to get out or in without someone having both key and pass....
