Spacious clean and good location

Struggle to book in

If we could give zero stars, we would. Address listed was different to address provided when checking in. Directions were not clear (pictures and actual name on building would have been helpful) so it took multiple times to find location especially since there was no place to pull over and walk around to find door. Garage was very tight and parking space was ridiculous to try to squeeze even our very small rental between a concrete pole in front and immediately behind car space and leave space next to it open for another car. Arrived after long international flight to find hot water wasn't working. Reached out to owner multiple times and tried to turn on gas from outside apartment. Couldn't figure it out. The next morning even had owner of apartment across the hall try to help us turn on hot water. He tried everything even came in the apartment and played with the hot water heater temperature and said it was broken. Reached out to the owner multiple times that morning and day to get resolved. Finally had to book in another hotel as it was very full with busy holiday travelers. Then later afternoon got email that water was working. Explained that we had to rebook as we didn't hear anything all day and needed to take a shower. Owner is refusing to refund us for an apartment that didn't have a working shower. Without hot water it was absolutely freezing water. The way this was handled and only offering a free night at hotel in other towns hours away from this location was completely unacceptable and very shady. We understand things break but a refund was the only acceptable action as it look so long for them to repair. Now we are out the money for this apartment plus the hotel we had to book at very high rate due to booking same day.
