Scala dei Turchi Luxury Home

The apartments are located close to Scala dei Turchi and Lido Rossello, about 20 minutes from Agrigento. Angela gave us a friendly welcome, providing us with water and coffee after our long drive. There is a small complex of three modern buildings, with two pools. Our apartment was upstairs in the third building, along with three other units. The whole apartment is decorated in a modern style. There is air conditioning in the sitting room and both bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped for its small size, including a Lavazza pod coffee machine. The bathroom has a rainfall shower head (and a normal shower head too). The apartment has a balcony going around three of the four sides, providing both sunny and shady sitting areas. There is a little table outside for al fresco dining. The pool is a decent size, and there are sun loungers and sun umbrellas. WiFi was good inside. There was off-street parking opposite (in a small car park), and plenty of on-street parking if that became full. There are three adorable little kittens who will be happy to say hello!

The biggest drawback is that the sound from other guests really carries. We could hear people talking and moving chairs inside their apartments. On our last night, someone came and dive-bombed into the pool - good thing we were not in the way! It turned out that this was the owner and his family. They took over the entire pool area and we were effectively pushed away back into our apartment. Not cool. Some suggestions for improvements: The bed needs to be replaced with a proper mattress. (It's two single beds pushed together, and the mattresses were very saggy, making it hard to sleep.) The kitchen needs a sharp knife for preparing food. The shower drain needs cleaning out of hair to improve the drainage. Most of the sun loungers were broken, such that the metal frame will push into your back (very painful).

The staff was superb , always ready to help

The interraction with staff was very good, they responded fast and efficient to our requests. We liked having the pool near our terrace, so our kid stayed în the pool while we stayed on the terrace. It is a quiet zone, with many vilas, with parking on site. They offered coffe for every day and water. There is a beach at 15-20 minutes walking, not very crowded, with very good water for kids, with bars on the beach, also with some nice restaurants in the area, where you can serve dinner.

The room was quite small. Because of lack of drying space for dishes, in the cupboards was a smell not so nice. The cleaning robot for the pool was on duty în the morning after 9:00 when the pool should be open,

A bit difficult to find.

Good location to visit different beaches around and the Temples Valley.

Quite some sands and dust on the floor of the accomodation.

We booked the apartment with garden view and it is definitely better than the one with pool view, you would have no neighbors, no noise coming from whoever uses the pool but still access to the pool. The manager was accommodating.

The bed has no fitted sheet therefore the bed gets messy very easily and it bothers you so much during the night. I have never found a bed like that anywhere in the world. Location is weird, you are in the middle of nowhere, 5 mins by car to the famous Scala dei Turchi but if I had to come back I would stay in Siculiana Marina a beautiful quiet little village 10 mins drive from Scala dei Turchi.

really need a car for this property, but its spacious and has everything you need - 2 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms - good hot water pressure, lots of space and the agent was very on to it with every query.

the only thing was the pool which was right outside out room and was lovely - Unfortunately the cleaning took place during its opening hours so both mornings we wanted to use it and it was being cleaned - the first morning there were three people doing it, which felt odd given it was right outside our room. Ideally cleaning should take place outside of the pool hours.
