Beachside Taroona with Spa

Beachside is indeed right beside the sandy beach at Taroona, with the sound of the waves and birds to keep you company. We went in winter and it was quiet and restorative. The property is clean, very well provisioned and has an amazing collection of books and information leaflets to browse. It’s warm and cosy and the spa is generous and has a non-slip base. I loved the little touches like the home-made jam and the bread-maker ready to go (though I somehow messed this up as I am unfamiliar with bread-makers). Communication was prompt and super-helpful. It’s clear that Nel and Lorne love to showcase their beautiful state. I’d definitely stay again, maybe without my (beloved) teenagers next time so that I have time to read some of the books!

Things to note include that the bathroom is accessed via the main bedroom and I could have used an explainer sheet for the bread-maker (though it’s entirely possible it was there and I missed it). Minor considerations only, I would heartily recommend this stay.

First up: LOCATION. The apartment faces the beach, so you have wonderful views. Next, a cosey living space with a picture window, and a kitchen that meets all your needs. Plus a really funky spa bath. The apartment is likely used by extended family, and there are plenty of books, jigsaws etc available. You will also find herbs and spices and condiments not typically supplied in a B&B. Nel and Lorne (hosts) are very welcoming and helpful. They live above the apartment and are available if needed. Much appreciated having a bread maker set up to provide fresh bread for the morning after check in.

Only one minor detail I'd change, remove some of the spare linen from the second bedroom to provide some hanging space in that cupboard.

Beautiful location. So many great books. Loved the bath. Very well equipped kitchen. Went above and beyond by providing gf bread and lf milk.

Place is right on the beach and magnificent views. Rooms, kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked with all you need. Warm bread making in the machine and home made Jam for BF was an added bonus

Sofa bed

Well stocked kitchen, even hot bread maker ready to use with mix supplied. Beautiful outlook and very relaxing.
