Il Fouia Apartments

The respose time on requests was very slow. Also, we were not provided with a quick option to contact someone in case we needed something. The instructions on how to access the apartment were not complete, which caused inconvenience and a bit of the stress. We received the wi-fi password on the 3rd or 4th day of the stay. For the garbage collection, we received 3 bags while we would need at least 10 for the whole stay. We were given shampoo only for one use for a group of 5 adults who had to stay 6 days. Toilet paper was insufficient. There was no microwave, kettle, and dishwasher. The information about the access to ski lifts is misleading, because if you come for skiing, you have to go to Sestrieri borrow equipment and access liffts. There are no decent restaurants around the property. Either you cook at the apartment or you go to Sestrieri.

The place was lovely but there was no internet connection and the heating wasn't working well. 12c when we walked in and only 17c, about 5 hours later. It reached 21c at 8am. There were 5c outside when we got there in the late afternoon and 0c outside at night. We spent the night in our coats sitting in the freezing living room and went to sleep early as it was too cold. Too bad, it could have been a great evening with family that we haven't seen in a long time. No reply from the owner when I tried to contact them after they gave me the wrong code for the wifi and no reply at all about the heating. I filed a complaint to Booking, who could not get a hold of the property either. And so, no compensation whatsoever for this ruined evening.

The size of the apartment was ok. And the kitchen was equipped well.

The staff was really bored and seemed annoyed with every question asked. We arrived a little bit early and they saw us went away for lunch said nothing and were even late while we had to wait. When we arrived at the apartment which is located 2 km away the room was not ready. There were towels missing which even after calling they did not bring. The house has a very steep stair. If you have havier luggage it is quite difficult. When you leave you have to bring back the key to the reception which again is 2 km. Nothing of this was told at the check-in. Really not interested in customers.

The apartment itself was really nice, clean, modern, at the city center, and has everything our family needed. It had a nice view too from the balcony.

The wifi wasn't strong enough. The key had to be collected from the reception, which was in a different location (reception was at the campsite of Villagio Gofree, while the apartment is in the city center of Pragelato). It was quite difficult contacting the reception too. We didn't have an Italian number so we couldn't just call anytime or it would have been costly. At first they were responsive on whatsapp chat for our questions, but during checkout we didn't know if we had to hand the keys back in or leave it in the apartment. We called several times on the number given but no one was picking up. We were in a hurry so we decided to just leave the keys inside the apartment and we left them a message in whatsapp. They replied in the afternoon saying it was okay. Overall, we had a nice stay. Our kids loved it there and wished we could stay longer.
