La Chumbera

Good location. Nice to have a swimming pool. The windows opening out to both outdoor spaces. Decor. Beds were comfortable. Walk in shower. A very well fitted kitchen. A kettle which a lot of Spanish properties don’t have but a must for the British. Quiet location. Two fans provided.

The air conditioning was fairly in affective. In June it wasn’t needed but in August we would have needed it. The ceiling fan only work with the light on, Normally you can have the fan on and the light off. No windows to open in the bedrooms. Only patio doors. These are constructive comments and didn’t detract from the good impression of the property.

The living room is very cosy, the terrace outside the living room is a delight

Both the kitchen and bathroom are in need of renewal. The shower is outdated and warm water is very limited. Both the master bed and benches in the living room are matresses on a stone floor and do not give any comfort.

Quiet, secure location. Modern, well-designed property, well equipped. Well placed to walk anywhere in San Jose. Good communications with the host.

There could have been more toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and rubbish bags for a 5-day-stay. San Jose in the off season is quiet - great! - but many restaurants are closed for the season and those that open are mainly open for lunch. If information about which restaurants open in the evening is know - El Octopus was the one we found - it would be great if the host could share that in the information in the property.

Its a very comfortable house & terrace, perfect to chill & relax. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own breakfast & dinner and everything is nicely decorated with personal taste.

Yhe procedures were somewhat confusing & complicated i.e. getting key code for access and then to register online to confirm arrival.

We stayed in the ground floor 2 bed apartment. It is very spacious. Parking directly outside under shady trees. Pool was lovely although do check opening hours as it closes at siesta time and opens latish in the morning. Location was good. An easy 15 minute walk to the main beach, bars and restaurants. Supermarket and local bar/restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

Outdoor space is a bit limited. Patio at front and at the back but weren’t very usable. Furnishings were a bit quirky and rustic. Not necessarily a bad thing.
