This was our second visit, and we found our first visit so good we didn't bother looking for anywhere else! This is a super place to stay to explore Stralsund and the surroundings. Easy to find (very near the railway station as well), good parking, a gentle 10 minutes walk through a park and across a bridge into the old town. The property is well equipped, the beds very comfortable, and the hosts very friendly and helpful.

The street is quiet and pretty, although it is right next to the railway station. The room was lovely size and had everything we needed for our mini break: fridge, freezer, stove, wifi, shower and a comfy bed. There's Edeka right behind the corner, and the old town can be reached through a beautiful little walkway over the water. Owner went over and beyond to store our luggage on our arrival. (We were there earlier than when the room was ready.) And they informed us as soon as the room had been cleaned, in case we wanted to settle in a little earlier.

What to say? Picobello: clean, cozy, comfortable, calm. It was a little apartment, a comfortable sleeping room with an open kitchen, a separate bath room and even a small balcony attached. The kitchen allowed to shop groceries in town - getting some delicious fish fillet from Rasmus was a good idea - and to cook and have a good dinner in the apartment. The balcony looked calm and cozy as well - only the winter season was too cold, but that is not the balcony's fault. For the 1-2 little questions that occurred, the landlords responded instantly and extremely helpful. Thus, it was a highly enjoyable stay. Anything else to say? The location is calm and cozy, but still close enough to the city center: one has to walk for about 10 minutes only across the nearby white bridge with a beautiful view over the lake to Kütertor, the direct entrance to the city center. In Stralsund, about everything - maybe except for Rügen - can be reached on foot in few minutes, so the perfect distance for an evening stroll. And those who do not want to walk Stralsund's old town or at the lake side with the stars shining above you, will not want to walk anywhere.

A lovely place to stay near to the centre of Stralsund. 5 minutes walk from the railway station, about 10 minutes easy stroll into the town centre, through a quiet area and across the Knieperteich. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom facilities, basic cooking essentials provided. Quiet and sheltered balcony.

The room seemed a little smaller than expected on arrival, but there was plenty of space to put our things for the week's stay. Chairs seemed a little oversized for the table and consequently we found them a little difficult to adjust (but this is personal preference)
