The property was easy to get into and it was wonderful to have a washing machine and dryer to get some laundry done. The owners had kindly left us some crisps and popcorn and beer - my friend appreciated these in particular. I slept in the bunk bed while my friend had the double room. My bed was okay but I had no bedside table and the room was very cramped, even if I had been a child rather than an adult. This flat makes an acceptable one-night stopover en route to catch a ferry but it just didn’t feel very homely. The instructions and communication were all clear.

I think it could have been a bit cleaner and perhaps ditch the wardrobe in the bunk room to provide more space so the door opens with a suitcase in the room. It’s just very cramped.

This property needs substantial refit kitchen basic cupboards old and little space in kitchen no dishwasher one could refit with small under sink oneholiday makers who have these at home really expect them for the price Bathroom tiling now looking tired and bit mouldy in places Shower overflows a bit and clearly this is common as there is a plunger provided for it Tiny double bedroom little hanging space

The location is wonderful! It's right on the main street but on the quieter end (about a 5 minute drive from the ferry terminal). We walked to town or across to the Lewis Castle grounds in 1-3 minutes, lots of great restaurants, shops and walking/hiking trails very nearby. The beds are comfortable, the living area was cozy with a little fireplace and the kitchen was well stocked. There is also a washer and dryer onsite. Also very private with onsite parking.

The windows look out onto buildings, which feels inconsequential given all the perks (and we were out exploring all day anyway).

There is no view from the flat, the floor of the flat is not level and the top of the entrance stair is a bit odd. To get to the shower room you have to go through the sitting room from the bedrooms.
