Ventspils Apartments

Apartment was clean and had everything you might need. There was beautiful garden full of flowers and nice sitting area. Owners were friendly and easy to reach. Free carparking in the street. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants for breakfast and food. Beach and the promenade.

There is no breakfast, although none was promised. But the sight of empty kitchen with mismatched, cheapo appliances and not even a courtesy teabag - this really rattles me. I think the bed - firm and wide was my best impression

It's 25% more expensive than a similarily located/built property reviewed before. It's a standalone flat, clean. That's about it. The rest - cheap and mismatched furnishings, a shower which was dying of exhaustion but nevertheless managed to leave a giant puddle on the floor through the aging shower-tub doors. I needed to crash after a cycle ride and frankly any property would do, I just don't get how this one gets 8+ ratings, I really don't. A note of caution: the hot water is heated by electric tank and the power is cranked up to max, so it's scalding water in hand basins, what's worse the taps in kitchen and toilet are mismatched and open cold/hot in different directions, be very careful with hot water.
