Exquisite 2-bedroom Apartment - City Centre

It was really nice and clean. Bright and cute apartment.

The apartment is very new and clean, it’s got everything you need, from washing machine to dishwasher, even a modern steam oven! very generous owner even provide you with kitchen towels and complimentary drinks and tea and coffee, the beds are very comfortable , good view from the windows. Secure parking place and entrance, too much to list everything.

The flat was very comfortable and well equipped. We loved the city views and the central location which allowed us to walk to everything we wanted to see. My kids just wanted to hang out here the whole time.

The bathroom could do with some kind of extractor fan, as it was a little smelly.

This apartment is not as described. It is as far away from EXQUISITE as you could get. Even before we got to the apartment we had difficultly. There was no address on the key holder, making it very difficult to obtain the key. In addition to this Booking.Com provided us with the incorrect apartment number, when we arrived, there were other people already checked in (music blaring). Having established that the occupants were in the correct flat we contacted the host, who gave us a different apartment number. We then went to the revised apartment number were we saw the communal area had stained carpets (smelling of urine) & stains on the walls. Having gained access to the correct apartment there was a funny smell. There was what looked like damp on the walls in the bedroom that had been painted over (but you can still see). There were numerous stains on the carpets & what looked like damp between the skirting board & carpet. We contacted the owner to advise we would not be staying & why & he advised he had gone to the apartment & couldn't see what the problem was. He did refund us the £180 deposit & parking fees immediately & without question advising that we would need to speak to Booking.Com to get a refund for the cost of the apartment. Having spoken to Booking.Com we have now learnt that the host has to approve a refund & that they do not visit the accommodation to check that the property matches the advertised description. The host has declined our request for a refund & so we are now significantly out of pocket. I will be taking further action. I took photo's of the accommodation, but fortunately for Booking.Com & the host, there is no way for me to share these as part of this review.
