A very cosy home feeling clean property filled with everything you’d need nice place to just arrive and relax very well thought of.

Quiet cul de sac. 10 min drive to centre of town, ideal. 2 min drive to closest beach. House was clean, tidy, comfortable

Sports package on TV would be nice(!)

The property is a great size, perfect for 4 guests.

There were a few things which I feel could be improved on slightly. Some more cutlery would help to manage meals without constantly having to wash up. A few extras would be super helpful too, e.g. hand soap in the kitchen, dishwashing tablets and a couple of washing tablets. Having said this it wasn’t a huge issue, just nice to haves particularly when the shops aren’t a quick walk away. It certainly wouldn’t put me off booking, and hopefully my comments might help others to come better prepared.

Nothing

The Wee Gem lives up to its name. The bungalow is clean, cosy and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Situated in a quiet cul-de sac in a small village just outside Stornoway it provides the ideal location for exploring this wonderful island. I never met the owners but communication was excellent. I was given clear directions on how to find the property and how to access it. Good internet access and lots of useful information provided in the guest folders. I made good use of the tourist map during my stay. Also pet friendly so I was able to bring my dog with me too. Would definitely recommend.

The bath and shower were inconsistent heat. Didn't get a hot bath as water started to run cold very quickly.
