Subhas Apartment

This place was a pleasant surprise. It is a budget stay, so set your expectations right. There is no luxury, but everything is solid and works as it should - water has good preassure, toilet works, hot water works, 2x AC works excelent, 2x fan. There are 3 bedroon with queen size beds with sheets, very good mattress and one living room/kitchen. Basic utensils and gas cooker. Very good fridge with freezer. What sets this place apart is the host - lovely and caring with perfect communication. We've arrived with a van. The place is in a short (about 80m) alley from the main road. This pleasantly isolates you from the noises of the main street, but turning in was a challenge for me - not used to asian driving style where you have centimetres on sides of the vehicle. Never mind, the host arranged convenient parking at neighbor premises. What we've loved most, is the spacious terrase (guessing about 35m2) where our kids loved to play, eat and spent most of the time, when we were in the appartment. The steps to the appartment were steep, but not an issue for us. Would return anytime. Recomended.

Just a small thing, we've been missing a bit more place where to store our food in the kitchen. May be a long shelve on the wall would help.

We liked everything about this apartment. Lovely veranda for relaxation and eating. We saw monkeys one morning in the nearby trees and the juice/coffee bar next door is an added bonus. It's only a five minute walk to Unawatuna railway station or there are direct buses to Galle or Habaraduwa beach from the bus stop a hundred meters from the apartment.. Lots of tuk tuks around and great genuine local (non tourist) eating places such as Zuuger on the main road 10 minutes away. Lots of fabulous small shops for fresh food nearby.The family that own the apartment are really lovely and very helpful.

Nothing could have been better for us. It's such a great place to stay to get out of the busy tourist areas but these are easy to get to from here.

Wery nice place, frendly owner and his family. They meet us early morning and offer early check in for free. Welcome coffe with sweets will be very tasty after long road. Apartment placed on 2nd floor, upper the owner house, it was clean and nice furnished.

Not safety terrace, without fence, so we need double attention for children. Hope it will be fixed soon

Very Clean & comfortable...

A nice place near Unawatuna Railway station. Staff was friendly, flexible and helpful. Private and secure. Comfy AC rooms, a spacious bathroom and the living room with a pantry was impressive. A Inexpensive stay.

This apartment is really awesome apartment. 3 bedroom with air-conditioning .really comfortable beds and clean rooms and I really love to stay more days .also nice hosts quite places. I suppose to stay again as soon as possible. Thank you . Everything is clean. This is the best place who want to stay long days. Thank you so much again❤❤❤❤
