The location is about a 15-minute walk to different subway lines, very near a shopping mall with a grocery store in the bottom complete with everything, and a drug store. There are many restaurant choices nearby even late at night. There is enough activity happening around that it felt pretty safe, especially walking down Frei Caneca at around 10:30-11pm. The security is quick to open the gate to let me in even before I hit the button.

It is clear that they manage many properties poorly, so they don't really care what is happening in any one.
