The house was so nice,clean and comfortable.

The location.

Location great. Generally clean and the feeling of newness in some parts. Garden space if you wanted it.

The consistency of standards throughout. We were a party of x3 and while the bed was made up there were an inadequate amount of bath towels left, insufficient crockery and cutlery. Felt like what was there was just what people had bought and left rather than a matching set. x3 odd dinner plates, no small plates, x2 bowls, x2 teaspoons, x1 fork (the other was broken), x1 knife. Plentiful saucepans and utensils. The frying pan had oil stains embedded on it and after a good scrub and clean by us we were able to use it. The food left, although a kind gesture - again it was as if it was leftovers as opposed to a deliberate service. We had x5 boxes of cereals (one out of date) so it did not indicate whether thought was given for one day or two days and definitely not throughout our duration of 4 days. Jam - approx. x6 packets. The coffee was not clearly labelled whether it was filter, decaffeinated or regular, furthermore each of them were unsealed. There were unsealed tea bag’s and when pouring hot water on them, the bag would split, which made me believe they were out of date. The bottle of oil was half started on. (I am sure unsealed products or not individually sealed do not meet food Health & Safety Standards). In my view you either leave enough for one day to show you’ve given thought and care or do not leave anything at all. Most certainly have enough crockery and cutlery for the amount of guests staying as a minimum. The furnishings of the property were clean and tidy The furnishings in the advert of accommodation have differed - to being less cushions and a different size table. There were clearly damp issues in the property and decorative standards were not completed where there may have been problems. We were freezing at night time and made a call to try to ask how the heating worked as the instruction booklet did not seem to work, nor did we want to spend our whole time trying to sort?

Good location. Parking options available.

There were mice in the house. We found lots of mouse droppings on the bedroom‘s floor every morning . This made us feel very uncomfortable. We informed the owner and had the feeling that he was already aware of this situation.

Very central location, good facilities and a nice surprise to find milk, biscuits, tea, coffee and cereal provided! Waitrose is close-by and an excellent chinese takeaway. Short, safe walk into the city centre.

The shower took a bit of getting used to, but was fine once we’d found the right temperature. Parking is mainly residential permits between 8-6. We weren’t aware a permit had been issued to us, as it is done on-line and there is no physical permit issued. The host got back to us very quickly when we enquired though.
