Royal Luxury Apartment with Gorgeous Sea View

This is a lovely apartment on the 10th floor about 2 blocks back from the sea. There are 2 balconies facing north (Med sea) and west (Office blocks). There is a nice 60"TV in the living room and the wifi worked well. Electricity is cut off in the whole of Alexandria, between 13:30 - 15:00 so the lifts don't work.

I booked this apartment as a present for my wife and at $1,425 which is very expensive for the area, I foolishly presumed at that price, it would be good / excellent. What lets this apartment down is the cleanliness & bedding. When we arrived the Kitchen sink had unwashed utensils in it, some of the kitchen doors were covered in grease/oil. The ensuite shower was filthy, it had clump of hair on the wall and the drain was clogged with hair and grease, (so glad I brought flipflops). The shower is an instant heat gas model, so pressure was not really that strong, although it doesn't run out of hot water like electric ones. The bed was supplied with a blue bottom sheet on it which was not big enough for the mattress, hence every morning you woke up on the mattress. We had to go rooting for top sheet and blankets and guess which were the cleanest. The towels are old and need replacing and the windows need cleaning.

Clean and spacious. The location is fantastic, and it is the best proximity to the old attractions, services, and food.

This is not a problem with the apartment, but rather the use of gas water heaters in many properties in Egypt, which makes it difficult to get consistent warm water for your showers during the cold days.

The location is very nice as you have all the facilities around you, the porter of the building is the one responsible for check in and check out

We arrived at 3,30 pm even though I received a message to come at 2 pm and the porter told me that the apartment is still not ready and it needed an hour to be cleaned ,I told him I should receive it from 2 pm , so he gave me the keys and I found the apartment was not well cleaned as expected
