Las Naveiras was cozy and rustic

Upon arrival, I noticed heavy construction next door, i addressed it with one of the 2 owners, Damian, and he said it wasn't loud. The next morning, I was woken up at 6am with pounding noises. I sent Nassar, the other owner, a whatsapp msg, in which i was offered their other property called Condominium Akaira. Reluctantly, we accepted. We had to call a taxi due to our luggage, food items and beers, etc. Las Naveiras is on a steep hill, not recommended for the elderly or folks with health issues. We then arrived at Condominium Akaira, listed as an airbnb, and it was a total letdown compared to Las naveiras. The pool was nice, but it was just bland, no character, and poorly equipped. The small bathrooms had no hooks for towels, no shelves for your toiletries, and nowhere to put anything but on the toilet cover. The second day, we had to ask for extra towels, and by the 3rd day, the kitchen sink broke, which we had to wait til the next morning for it to be resolved. The second bedroom has no window shades, so it's bright at sun up, and the bathroom door squeeks loud enough to wake you up in the middle of the night when used. I do have to say, any inconveniences, they do send Jeffrey, the maintenance guy to fix any problems but we whatsapp them more than we should of. My advice is message the property to make sure construction has ended before booking. Plus, have them send pictures. It does seem like that area will be expanding and more construction in the future.

AC had a leak but that did not make our stay uncomfortable

Location was good, close to everything but not in the main street, so very silent.

Some parts of the flar was quite old. And the beds were not very comfy. The toilets were very bad. There was a glass only covering half of the shower, meaning that water would spill to the bathroom floor everytime we showered. Also there was this constant smell of sewage coming out of the sink.

It was the perfect match for what we needed.

Don't have anything

Nasser was a very nice host, very helpful, and the apartment was comfortable, modern, the kitchen was very equipped, and there were Air-conditioning in every room. There is a little swimming pool that you share with other guests that is very pleasant.

The location is good but it would be a bit hard to walk to town, because of the heat and the property being quite up hill. The appointments are brand new so very modern but you can feel that some things are still a little dysfunctional (doors, showers,..).
