High St. Hideout

Communication 100%, clear and informative directions & car park details sent in plenty of time as some send it right on the last min which sends me into a panic. Lovely place very aptly named the hideout, modern decor & the most comfy bed I have ever slept in. Super convenient location to our work this week & room to chill out and relax and a crazy day. Lovely touch a little hamper of cereals tea/ coffee which is always a winner.

Main bed was small and the mattress was not very comfortable.

Location was great - right in the middle of the shopping area. The property was a great size for my two daughters and I. Compared to another apartment in Caernarfon that we have stayed in previously in the same price range, this was better value and layout in having a second bedroom rather than a sofa bed in the lounge. The decor was modern and funky. Netflix was loaded on the TV. It had everything we needed to feel comfortable and enjoy a stay. The kids loved it and felt safe.

Minor points which did not detract from the stay - the blind was poorly functional in the kitchen; I couldn’t find cooking utensils (spoons/spatulas etc) which meant using cutlery to cook and serve; as mentioned by the property, the bathroom is on a small footprint so the shower is very small. I’m slender so it was ok for me. However, the bathroom was well laid out to utilise the available space. It is on first floor up some steep steps so something to be aware of if you have any mobility or back impairment.

In the centre of Caernarfon and near to travel to various places

Great location and base for travelling North Wales, near to Holyhead ferry too. The kitchen had all the cookware/utensils you would need, shop a couple of minutes walk away to get the basics. Parking was convenient as parking Multistorey a couple of minutes walk away, the lift there was broken when we visited but also could load and unload directly outside the flat at specified times which made it easier for us with a baby/buggy/cot etc. No travel cot available at the property but we were notified in time and were able to bring our own, communication from the host was great incl a message to see if everything was ok once checked in.

All minor things but would have made the stay that bit nicer and overall was a good stay for 2 nights. There was a strong smell of damp/must downstairs when entering but luckily it wasn’t as bad upstairs, not too sure where this was coming from. The shower as we were informed is very small and compact. In general the flat appeared to need a little maintenance, marked walls and skirting throughout. The bathroom door is a slider and was difficult to open a couple of times. Overall clean but needs a little deep clean to outside of all windows as were dirty, skirting board ledges and pull cord for bathroom light were visibly dirty also. The mattress was very soft and springy with little support, and we found to be uncomfortable but may suit others.

Great location. Nicely presented. Home from home. Great for a family.

This apartment was very centrally located and very stylishly decorated, modern and homely. Amazing having the parking permit which we used in a Llanberis and could have been used in many more local towns if we were on a longer trip.

Late night partying passers by were noisy, windows needs a clean and the main bed wasn’t comfortable for me, but that is individual. Host very receptive about these issues.
