Villa Al Ponte was truly a dream. There really is no other place like it. The over 100 year old villa built on an even older foundation part of which you can see in the dining area with its cool stone walls complete with a wine cellar is full of charm and beauty. Each room is filled with an eclectic assortment of objets d’art and each area has its own unique atmosphere. We visited with a fairly large family group and we all found a room in the 3 bed room apartment which spoke to our individual tastes. Even during the extreme summer heat the sleeping areas were cool and airy. The kitchen in our area was basic and charming with a beautiful little terrace which could be open to let in the breeze. I really enjoyed hanging out in the kitchen and cooking. The house is surrounded by a sculpture gardens filled with the proprietor’s own work, adding to the beauty and mystery of the lush surroundings. The pool is cool and clean and has a beautiful view of the house, garden and woods. It was heaven for my 9 and 5 year old kids and in turn for my wife and me. I really can’t overstate how much we enjoyed our stay and we look forward to returning some day. The highlight was really the hospitality warmth and helpfulness of the hosts, Giovanni and Agnes. They were warm, helpful and welcoming but allowed us plenty of space to feel at home. Giovanni was extremely helpful with tips for side trips and amazing dining suggestions in the area and Florence. They even spotted us some pasta when the stores were closed for a holiday :) My kids loved the dog. Wonderful place, wonderful people a rare and memorable experience.

Alloggiando nella villa si vive in un mondo a parte con opere d'arte e arredamento vintage. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare nella bellissima mansarda, bellissima! Splendido anche il giardino e la vista dalla piscina. Il proprietario Giovanni, autore delle scultore, persona veramente amabile e interessante. 10 su tutta la linea.

Luogo ideale dove soggiornare per immergersi nella tranquillità della natura, delle campagne e dei borghi di questa parte di Toscana. La struttura è un gioiellino storico e artistico, ben inserito nel contesto paesaggistico locale. Giovanni (insieme ad Agnese) sa accogliere nel migliore dei modi: mette a proprio agio, è disponibile sia per particolari esigenze degli ospiti che per consigli di fruizione dei bei luoghi vicini ed è molto piacevole chiacchierare con lui... Come se ci si conoscesse da anni! Ci siamo trovati benissimo e vorremo ritornarci per godere di nuovo dell'incantevole piscina e per dare altre carezze alla dolcissima Freccia.

Traumhafte Villa mit Pool und viel Platz. Ruhige Lage und tolle Aussicht. Eignet sich perfekt zum relaxen und bietet eine super Basis für Ausflüge nach Florenz, Arezzo oder auch Siena. Giovanni ist Künstler, was man der ausgewählten und sehr geschmackvollen Einrichtung der Räume und des Geländes unschwer erkennt. Italienisches Frühstück mit selbst gemachten Bruscetta in einem sehr schönen urigen Gastraum. Giovanni ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber, der den Aufenthalt mit seinen vielen Tipps und Empfehlungen noch authentischer macht.

Struttura accogliente immersa nel verde e nell’arte. Relax, silenzio e discrezione assicurati. Host super accogliente e disponibile, ci ha consigliato anche ottimi posti da visitare o dove poter cenare. Dal vivo questa villa rende più che in foto, peccato ne possa mettere solo 4 con la recensione perché ahimè non sono sufficienti per descriverne la bellezza.
