Sleepover Downtown Cincinnati 1BD 1BA Apartments

It was in a very convenient location for what I was looking for in Cincinnati, and it was reasonably priced.

The couch had a stain on it, and the parking was very close quarters and fills up fast.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean, the kitchen was full sized with an oven/stove and a microwave.

There was some disturbances on late night ventures with the local homeless population, but they were mostly seeking to get in out of the elements. My vehicle was not touched but I did feel pressured to make certain it was locked between load/unload trips.

It was clean and cozy. Everything was as advertised, and I was pleased with the accommodations.

The kitchen interior was nice

The furniture had stains (couches, pillows, chairs), toilet paper roll was dirty luckily I had another, a couple across from the hall was arguing early morning, and there was a sewage smell in the halls of the building.

I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone. The area and building felt very unsafe—there were people loitering under the bridge next to the property, and police presence was frequent. I didn’t feel safe arriving or leaving the building at night, and I didn't dare to leave or arrive in the building at night. The building and the apartment itself had a strong smell of marijuana throughout. The sofa and bed were broken, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The bedroom was extremely bright at night due to a broken curtain, and even if it was not broken, it did not block out the street lights. The bathroom had an unpleasant odour, and the toilet became blocked — I was advised to use a plunger, which is unacceptable. I raised all of these issues with the property management multiple times, with no action taken. Before leaving, I asked if an alternative accommodation could be arranged, but received no assistance. I was forced to leave the property well before my scheduled departure date. Despite this, they have refused to refund the unused days. Now I understand why their listing doesn’t offer a cancellation policy — I would advise anyone to be cautious of any booking that does not allow cancellations. My experience has been deeply disappointing. Communication through the Booking.com website has also been frustrating and ineffective. I recently received an email offering a voucher for a future booking worth $352.95. Still, I do not find this acceptable given the circumstances and the distress caused, which I will no longer use, nor recommend, and actually talk about the experience with others.

Cleanliness

Broken furniture. Only sofa in the apartment was broken. We informed the property management as soon as we checked in but there was no action taken from their end. The washroom sink was blocked and leaking. We left a day earlier and moved into a hotel.
