Pingle Nook Barn, Denby Dale - luxury accommodation on the farm

The property is absolutely lovely. Very easy to find and easy to access. It’s a beautiful property on a working farm and there are chickens you can feed which was a massive hit with our kids. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into this property and it had all the amenities you would need whilst staying there. The seating area was plenty big for the 5 of us and has a lovely kitchen diner. The bedrooms are very comfortable and we were very well rested! The bathroom as well was very clean and well maintained.

Lovely friendly hosts.

This is a fabulous, dog friendly place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was fitted out like a boutique hotel. It was easy to find with clear communication in advance of our stay. An added bonus was being able to collect fresh eggs during our stay.

Everything you need under one roof and close to local village. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back at some stage.

The apartment was lovely, clean, and the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, didn't need for anything while we were there, and managed to grab a couple of fresh eggs for breakfast from the chickens. Facilities were easy to use.

Had to ask a couple where pingle nook was located as my sat nav couldn't pick up the sharp bend heading into the apartment. No fault of pingle nook or the hosts though.

The property is beautiful!!! It has everything you could need and want for a lovely relaxing stay. The hosts are very welcoming and there are lovely added touches from them, such as milk in the fridge on arrival. The location is so peaceful with lots of lovely walks and lovely inclosed garden to enjoy too.

There is nothing too dislike

This review is from 'we' rather than just me... I guess we all develop a 'picture' in our minds of what to expect when you have booked somewhere... and to avoid seemingly being disappointed in someway we perhaps tend to be generous rather than over critical in our reviews, just in case we have to answer for them in someway afterwards! Superlatives are easy to dish out!... I can assure any reader that Kate and I will always attempt to be honest and constructive rather than destructive in anyway and do recognise that we all may be looking for something different to the next person.... Having said all that, and I usually do use far too many words to say things... 'We' would rate this stay as just about the best we have enjoyed ANYWHERE... The accommodation was spotless, the fixtures, furniture and fittings were top quality and all gave the impression that the owners would have chosen most if not all for themselves. The hosts Penny and Jono, were smiley gracious and welcoming and despite their busy lives, gave off a feel that they really wanted their guest to enjoy their stay... Their very active growing and delightful three and a bit son was already heading in a similar direction... As for Bridget, she was beautiful too... WE had the accommodation to ourselves and even had access to the four colourful chickens to collect eggs from in the morning... The beauty of the location perhaps needs experienced to be fully appreciated.... We ate out at an OK Thai on the first night and an absolute stunner of a pub/restaurant on the second night (THE DUNKIRK) you can walk to both if you are brave, and back again if you are even braver in a very comfortable 30 minute stroll... By car probably lees than 10 mi9nutes.... You are very much in the countryside, but not far at all from the lovely small town of Denby Dale, lots of local shops and produce, even the local LONDIS was worth visiting...

It truly is nit picking, but hopefully positive and helpful, we never found any place mats, which doesn't mean there weren't any to protect the beautiful pine kitchen table and maybe some obvious outdoor coat hooks and a rack of some description close to the entrance door for footwear would make perfection even more perfect... ENJOY it all... Alan & Kate, we most certainly did!

Great location, friendly and helpful hosts, clean property and well equipped. Kids enjoyed feeding the chickens :)
