I booked this apartment because the listing’s bedding looked great. On arrival, the bed was triple-sheeted only. no blanket, duvet or comforter, and the pillows were small and flat. The apartment also had scuff marks across EVERY SINGLE wall & doors, giving it a worn, neglected feel. When I messaged the host, the reply was essentially, “We should’ve made the bed better—enjoy your weekend,” which wasn’t helpful. The next day, neither of the two dishwashers would even power on, the toilet water was running constantly and the bathroom light would flicker. Given we paid around $4,000 for the stay, I contacted the host and asked to be moved. Credit where it’s due, I was relocated to a different apartment, which was much better. Overall, the original apartment didn’t match the listing or the price point. Basic standards like proper bedding, working appliances and better maintenance should be addressed. Disappointing experience.
