Villa Venezia Apt 3 - Spacious Hervey Bay esplanade apartment

Great location. Lots of cafes and restaurants, nice views. Lovely and spacious unit. Very comfortable beds. Nicely decorated. Unit was equipped with nice kitchen and dishwasher. Recommended. Will visit again.. Great communication throughout stay.

Location was good, short walk to the shops, plenty of eateries.

Cleanliness of the unit, dust on the fan in lounge area, window sills full of dust. Coffee table had sticky substance on the top of it, had to wipe it clean. Curtains look like they need a good wash. TV remote batteries were flat as well as the clock on the wall was not working. Ensuite toilet lid would not stay open. The shower/bath in the second bathroom hand rail is covered in rust and rough to touch. There should be a trolley accessible to use for heavy luggage from the car park. Pool was full of leaves and needed a thorough clean, The old carpet around the walkway and balcony was all torn and dangerous and needed a thorough vacuum as it was full of leaves.

The location was perfect as we were able to walk to Enzo's for a beautiful lunch and take in the view on the way.

The garage underneath the building appeared safe to park my vehicle in, but it had no sensor activated lighting, and a rear door that had a broken lock, which we discovered the next day after my vehicle was broken in to on the first night we arrived, and a portable fridge stolen. We actually had to use the light on our phones to see our way around in the garage, and it wasn't until the next day that we discovered a slow release push button on the wall that activated the lights for a set time. According to a tenant who had lived in one of the other apartments the broken lock on the rear door in the garage had been reported to the management a few weeks prior to our visit and no repairs had been made. Sadly the management have taken no ownership of what has happened to me, or reimbursed me in any way. There has been a failure on the owners part as well to provide enough information on garage lighting, or security concerns either in their emails to me or the visitors guidebook inside the apartment As I understand the rear door lock and lighting issues have since been rectified, only after our experience.
