Olia Villas & Suites

The property is outstanding! Suites are spacious, very clean, comfortable bed and the hot tub is great for relaxing and enjoying the awesome caldera views that take your breath away. Although property has no direct sunset view, there are great and not too crowded places to watch the sunset within walking distance. There are nice restaurants in the area. Also, Fira is a short walk away. Property has no private parking, but has a lot of parking places nearby. For me Imerovigli is the best area to stay in the island. It is not as crowded as other villages with lots of choices nearby. As for the property, the place is so lovely that this is my third stay here! Each time I have booked a different suite and none has disappointed me.

Unfortunately, they have a new host who falls way too short from the one they had before. First, he has no picture in his WhatsApp profile, which is their main communication tool. Thus, I had no idea who should I look for at the agreed meeting point. I was at the place, texted him I was there and he insisted I was not. I had to describe my outfit for him and that’s when he approached me. He took me to the property, asked me to walk it through, explained the basics. No dining or places to visit recommendations were provided. Perhaps this was because I told him I had been in the island before. Fortunately, the previous host was top notch and shared a list of the places and activities I should not miss in the island. Also coordinated catamaran tour, and wine tasting; and provided on point dining recommendations around the island. But the thing that really blew my mind was that we agreed to a check out time. I was ready waiting for him and since it was already about 10min past the agreed time I texted him. His response was that he would not be able to come as he was at the other side of the island. Shortly after he texted to ask if I needed help with my luggage! As I replied that it some help would be nice, he sent someone to help me. This experience was so contrasting with their prior host, who checked on daily if everything was ok and if anything was needed. He even sent reminders of the meeting place and time for the tours booked. Lastly was very sharp and showed up at the agreed meeting times for check in and check out. Definitely whichever properties he is working at now, are very fortunate to have him.

We stayed in the Cave. The AC and WIFI were perfect, even in July the room was cold enough. My husband was able to attend an online zoom with. No lag. Upon arrival our host briefed us on everything we might want to know (breakfast options, WiFi password, transportation, etc) - we felt prepared to jump straight into our vacation with no questions remaining. When my child was sick the host was quick to come to our rescue and we had Medicaid care within an hour and still made our flight in time. We travel internationally with our kids 5-6 times a year and this was perhaps the best host I can currently recall. Such a smooth stay.

Host and location were great

Great view if you’re in the hot tub or standing, but the hot tub is in the front of the patio so your view is blocked if you sit. Also, located on a busy walkway with lots of tourists.

Our Expectations were Exceeded. Even though the pictures are spot on, our breath was still taken away by the VIEW and the angle you have of the rest of the island and the water. The room layout is like none other; very well designed. The pool was perfect for just lounging and taking in the view, as well as, being a great size for my 4 and 2 year old. The host was very responsive and fully willing to arrange transportation for you to anywhere, not only the airport. The room and pool cleaning services were top-notch and performed daily. Having a sauna, jacuzzi tub, and heated pool without having to leave the room was lovely. We truly enjoyed our first trip to Santorini, we left with memories which will never be forgotten.
